Austin Healey 3000 Mk III Phase 2, year 1967. Chassis number HBJ8L/3821X, engine number 29K/RU/H128XX. Colour Dark blue (Basilica blue) over cream white (a rare and original Healey colour scheme) combined with a dark blue leather interior and dark blue carpet. Blue soft-top and blue mohair tonneau cover. This fantastic ‘Big Healey’ was sold new in Illinois (USA) in the year 1967. In the year 1988 the car was shipped to the Netherlands. In 1999 the Healey was purchased by Altena Classic Service to be fully restored for a client. In the period 1999 – 2001 the Austin Healey was extensively restored to concours (show) condition. Costs nor effort were spared in the process; everything was restored, overhauled and / or renewed. The engine was overhauled by the renowned Dutch firm Van Giersbergen and the bodywork was restored by Van Emst. A file folder containing all the invoices, the photographic restoration report and historic documents is present. This fantastic Austin Healey was very well serviced and maintained over the years; this Healey is in superb TOP condition! The car features overdrive, 72-spoke chrome wire wheels shod with Vredestein Classic Sprint 185/15 tyres, a Stainless-Steel exhaust, and a chrome badge bar with two Lucas SLR576 long-range spot-lamps. The original USA Title and import documents are present; this Austin Healey can be imported to any country around the globe! This ‘Big Healey’ drives perfectly; A top-class example!
