This gorgeous ‘Big Healey’ was extensively restored, overhauled, and tuned by Denis Welch in the United Kingdom in the period 2013-2014. The restoration was commissioned by the current owner. The firm of Denis Welch is a renowned Austin Healey specialist, also widely known for their Austin Healey rally conversions. This wonderful Austin Healey 3000 Mk II was beautifully restored, a photo report and invoices of the restoration are present. The restoration and overhaul costs exceeded the €100.000 mark. The powerful 3 Litre engine received special upgrades and is fitted with two S.U. HD8 carburettors, 123 electronic ignition, an alternator, Denis Welch alloy rocker cover and much more. Since completion of the restoration the car has driven 13.000 kilometres, and the car was serviced by an Austin Healey specialist ever since. This ‘Big Healey’ is fitted with chrome wire wheels, chrome ‘knock-on’ wheel nuts, large Lucas SFT700 fog/cornering lamps at the front, chrome ‘bumperettes’ at the rear, a side exhaust, special cooling louvers in the wings, a 5-speed gearbox and a MotoLita sport steering wheel with a leather rim. This Austin Healey is a very handsome and sporty example. A quality example for the avid Austin Healey enthusiast!
