Matching numbers, a Heritage certificate is present to confirm this. Colour silver metallic combined with a red leather interior and red carpet. This fabulous Jaguar E-type 4.2 Litre FHC was sold new by Jaguar Cars of New York to a Mr. L. Ryder of Kent, Washington. In the year 2002 the automobile was imported to the Netherlands. After arrival in the Netherlands the car was extensively ‘nut and bolt’ restored in the years 2005 – 2007. A photo report and documentation of the restoration is present. Everything was restored, overhauled and / or renewed. The bodywork was restored from the bare metal and given a 2K paint system in silver metallic. The engine, gearbox, suspension axles, brakes, dashboard gauges were overhauled, chrome parts were rechromed. A new wiring loom was fitted, and the interior was given new leather upholstery. Costs nor effort were spared on this restoration. Now fourteen years later, the E-type is still in excellent condition! The car was cherished by Jaguar enthusiasts and since 2014 the car was serviced by Altena classic Service. This Jaguar E-type is a fantastic driver car, the engine revs, pulls and sounds perfectly, the gearbox shifts spot-on, and the steering and handling are excellent! This fantastic Jaguar E-type 4.2 Litre FHC (Fixed Head Coupé) comes with the original owner’s manual (in rare original pouch) and seven (!) file folders filled with history, photos, and restoration / service invoices.
