‘Derby’ Bentley 3 ½ litre ‘Park Ward’, year 1934. Chassis number B39BN, engine number W5BQ, British registration BGN311 (still registered and active). Colour dark British Racing Green combined with a dark red leather interior and grey carpet. Dark brown hood and hood cover. This magnificent ‘Derby’ Bentley 3 ½ litre was sold new in Great Britain. The automobile is in a stunning original condition and features the original ‘Park Ward’ open tourer bodywork with 3-position hood. This almost 90-year-old Bentley is a magnificent time capsule showing all original details and a wonderful vintage patina. The Bentley is mechanically fully up to date and the car is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner who appreciates the importance of this original piece of Bentley heritage. The history is known from day one, as are the names of all the previous owners. Altena Classic Service have recently taken the car from the UK to their Dutch showrooms. The car is still UK registered. This super original Bentley 3 ½ litre was serviced and maintained beautifully. In recent years the gearbox and the carburettors were overhauled, the overdrive was rebuilt by Tim Payn. In 2017 the bodywork was repainted in the original colour. This ‘grand tourer’ has participated in several important events like the Flying Scotsman, and the Shamrock 1000 Mile Trial.
