AC (Acédès) 16/66 Drophead Coupe, year 1935. Chassis number L34X, engine number UBS.29X. Original UK Registration: DPC918. Colour dark British Racing Green combined with a beige leather interior and light brown carpet trimmed with beige edges. The car features a black vinyl hood and a light brown mohair tonneau cover. This rare AC 16/66 DHC was sold new in the United Kingdom. The automobile was exported to the Netherlands in the year 2000 where it had known two owners until now. The car is known to us, and in service at our workshop since 2016. This AC 16/66 DHC comes with a large history file from new. Photos from the car when new, also picturing the first owner and the original registration. Present is a logbook with the names of all the previous owners and the service and repairs which were carried out over the years. Also present are factory original books, a brochure, and the original V5c document. This gorgeous AC 16/66 DHC drives and handles delightfully, and the 4-speed manually operated gearbox shifts perfectly. The six cylinder in-line engine is the same 1991 cc unit with overhead camshaft and three S.U. carburettors as fitted in the 1953 AC Ace sports car. The AC 16/60 DHC is a two-person car featuring a ‘dickey seat’ in the trunk offering two additional ‘emergency’ seats. This rare AC is a super original car which shows all the original details. The old paintwork shows signs of age but is still very nice, a fantastic pre-war patina! This is a rare AC 16/66 Drophead coupé in super original and wonderful condition! The automobile can be imported and admitted in any country worldwide.
