Austin Healey 100/4 BN1, year 1955. Chassis (VIN) number BN1L/227106, engine number 1B205626, body number 54009538. Colour crème white (Old English White) over caramel brown combined with a light brown leather interior trimmed with matching carpet. Light brown soft top, side screen frames, and tonneau cover. This fabulous Austin Healey 100-‘Four’ was sold new in the USA. This early example proudly shows the “Austin of England” badge on the boot lid. This early BN1 example features the 3-speed manual gearbox with overdrive on 2nd and 3rd gear (virtually a 5-speed gearbox). The car was very well restored over 30 years ago, and the car shows a unique classic colour scheme. The current owner (a true Austin Healey enthusiast) had imported the car to the Netherlands in 1998. The car was properly enjoyed over the years and punctually serviced. The Healey shows some signs of use and age, but the car is in a very good all over condition and it drives perfectly! A file folder with history and service invoices is present. The invoices show that the cylinder head and the carburettors were renewed. The automobile features chrome wire wheels shod with 165/15 Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres, a side exhaust which produces a fantastic “soundtrack”, a “badge bar” with two metal badges and a pair of Lucas SLR 576 spot lamps fitted. This “Big Healey” offers great quality for the price, and it can be exported and registered in every country globally.
