The clutch action is automated. These cars are sought after by collectors. This wonderful Porsche 911E was imported to the Netherlands in the year 1997 where the car has known three owners ever since. Recently the Porsche was completed after an extensive restoration by a Porsche specialist, the car has driven 900 kilometres since completion of the work. Everything was restored, overhauled, refurbished, and/or renewed; this Porsche 911 E Sportomatic is in superb condition! The 155 bhp six-cylinder boxer engine sounds perfectly, and the unit is fitted with Bosch petrol injection. The car is fitted with wonderful original Fuchs wheels. The Sportomatic gearbox was rarely ordered by Porsche drivers in the 1960s and early 1970s, sporty driving was not associated with automated mechanical actions. The Sportomatic concept was a very clever invention and it worked properly and smoothly, hence Porsche introduced it as a factory option to their popular sports car. This is a rare Porsche 911, a true collector’s item!
