This impressive and unique Jaguar Special was professionally hand built on a fully restored 1959 Jaguar XK 150 chassis. The engine is a sought after and up-rated XK 150 S engine fitted with three S.U. carburettors which is mated to a BMW 5-speed gearbox. The aluminium body was hand crafted to the wishes of the owner. Inspiration was taken from Italian ‘Barchetta’ models and racing prototypes. No expense was spared to build what the owner had envisioned. The special bodywork features a regular bonnet and boot lid for easy access, the front and rear sections can also be fully opened for perfect access to the engine and suspension! The mohair XK 150 hood is also stored under the rear body. The car is fitted with Dunlop alloy racing style wheels shod with Vredestein tires, disc brakes on all wheels, twin brake servos, an oil cooler, an electric cooling fan and Lucas SFT wide beam lamps in the wonderful grille. This fully hand built Jaguar Special is a very exciting and impressive machine to drive.
