Triumph TR 4 A IRS, year 1967. Chassis (VIN) number CTC771X-LO, engine number CT/7728X-E, body number 7736X/CT. A Heritage certificate is present, matching numbers. Colour dark blue combined with a black leather interior trimmed with white piping, and black carpet. Crème vinyl soft-top and hood cover, black hood cover. This beautiful Triumph TR 4 was sold new in the USA. The car was imported from Pennsylvania to the Netherlands in 1994. The original Pennsylvania numberplate has a place of pride in the boot. After arrival in the Netherlands the automobile was extensively restored by a Triumph specialist. A photo report of the restoration is present. This TR 4 A IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) is in very good to excellent condition and the car drives superbly. The TR 4 A IRS is the final incarnation of the TR 4 model series, fitted with the most powerful engine, more comfortable independent rear suspension and the wonderful chrome body trim. This example offers a bit more ‘punch’ because two twin-choke Weber carburettors were fitted! Furthermore, this TR 4 is fitted with Triumph TR 6 seats with headrests for added comfort and safety, overdrive, chrome wire wheels, original size 165/15 Michelin tyres, a Stainless-Steel exhaust, a chrome baggage rack.
