Triumph TR 4A IRS, year 1966. Chassis- (VIN) number CTC6661597LO, engine number S477371. Exterior colour red combined with a black leathercloth interior and black carpet. Black vinyl soft-top and hood-cover. This wonderful Triumph TR 4A IRS was sold new in the USA, the car was imported to the Netherlands in the year 2000. After arrival in NL the car was partially restored. The works were executed beautifully, the TR still looks a picture, and the car is in a very good condition! This TR 4A IRS has known only one Dutch owner who has enjoyed and cared for the car for 22 years! The car shows slight signs of previous use. Most obvious are a repair, and a rip in the seam, of the passenger seat. The bodywork looks crisp and clean and under the bonnet everything is well detailed! This Triumph TR 4A is the last and most advanced model of the TR 4 range. The car is fitted with Independent Rear Suspension, hence the IRS in the name. The car drives sporty yet comfortably and is fitted with an easy to erect soft-top. The open top driving experience is wonderful as is the sound of the powerful (over 100 bhp) four-cylinder engine. The car is fitted with overdrive, wire wheels, and the gorgeous original steering wheel. A very desirable British sports car!
