Mercedes-Benz 280 SL (W113), year 1971. Chassis (VIN) number 11304412023308, engine number 13098312015797. Matching numbers and colours. The original ‘Datenkarte’ is present to confirm this. Colour pale blue (MB colour 304) combined with a beige leather interior and beige carpet. Dark blue mohair soft-top and an original hard top in body colour. This wonderful Mercedes-Benz 280 SL ‘Pagode’ was sold new in the United States. This fully original automobile had been in long-time Californian ownership when it was purchased by a Mercedes-Benz specialist who imported the car to the Netherlands. This Mercedes-Benz SL is in an exceptionally original condition! The bodywork shows a perfect panel fit and all the original spot welds are visible. The paintwork is fully original with a fantastic vintage patina showing 50 years of careful ownership. The brightwork is perfect and the original interior is in excellent condition! Under the bonnet all is very well presented, and the inside of the boot-lid shows the original matte black paint and factory decals. In the year 2016 the car was brought up to date; the suspension was rebuilt, the engine was overhauled, and everything was fully checked. All the invoices describing the works are present. The odometer currently shows 65.000 miles, and the car is mechanically fully up to date. This fine Mercedes SL is fitted with a perfectly working automatic gearbox and an original air-conditioner. The original steel wheels with original hubcaps are shod with good Maxis 195/75-14 tyres. This beautiful Mercedes-Benz ‘Pagode’ comes with its original hard top, original manuals, and MB Datenkarte.
