Year1937
Engine: Four cilinder engine

MG Q-type Special, year 1937. Chassis number TA188X, engine number MPJG208X. The original UK V5C registration with number ERA433 is still present, currently the car is registered in the Netherlands. Colour dark red combined with brown leather seats in the interior, and a black mohair tonneau cover. This magnificent MG Q-type racer was recently completed by a specialist in the UK. The car was built on an MG TA chassis and no effort was spared aiming for perfection! The Q-type style bodywork and ‘cycle-wings’ were wonderfully hand crafted from aluminium sheet by a gifted craftsman. This MG Q-type special is in a wonderful and brand-new condition and the car drives perfectly! The car is fitted with a rebuilt XPAG engine which is fitted with a compressor (blower). The gearbox was overhauled, the brakes were renewed and improved, and the suspension was rebuilt. The dashboard gauges were overhauled, and a new wiring loom fitted. The car is fitted with an array of dashboard gauges and an intriguing ‘boost’ gauge which tells the actual blower pressure when driving! The sports 19-inch wire wheels shod with 4.50 Blockley tires, Brooklands racing screens, two ‘fast filler’ type fuel caps and a canvas rucksack on the spare wheel. This MG Q-type special comes fully documented. This brand new built and unique MG Q-type special is finished to very high standards; you will not find a second Q-type special of this quality.
